Overview

We’re looking for a Director, Medical Strategy to lead the scientific and clinical narrative across assigned brands.

In this role, you will serve as the primary voice of the Scientific What and Clinical Why, translating disease mechanisms, MOAs, and clinical data into clear, actionable strategic direction that elevates the work and drives client impact.

You will play a critical role in ensuring scientific integrity while unlocking strategic opportunity across teams and clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead medical strategy and scientific POV across assigned brands
  • Translate complex clinical data and treatment landscapes into actionable insights
  • Partner cross-functionally with Strategy, Creative, Media, and Account teams
  • Ensure all work meets the highest standards of scientific accuracy and compliance
  • Serve as a trusted scientific partner to clients
  • Mentor junior team members and elevate scientific thinking across the agency
  • Contribute to new business and organic growth initiatives

Qualifications

  • 7–10+ years of experience in medical strategy, scientific communications, or related field
  • Advanced scientific degree required (PhD, MD, or PharmD)
  • Pharmaceutical advertising experience required
  • Strong understanding of clinical data and regulated environments
  • Ability to translate complex science into clear, strategic direction
  • Experience working across cross-functional teams
  • Oncology experience preferred
