About us

At Moon Rabbit, growth isn't just a goal—it's a reality. We're expanding our core business with a team of remarkable talent, driving us forward every day. Our partnerships span a diverse range, particularly in healthcare, where we collaborate with leading industry names and innovative startups alike. Beyond healthcare, we’re proud to work with organizations committed to advancing society and making a lasting impact. Together, we’re shaping a better future.

We’re Blended – we’ve mixed some of the very best people in healthcare with people who have done their most stellar work in consumer. We have discipline and imagination in equal measure. We have PhDs and high school dropouts, media-first digital natives and old school idea-first strategists. We're a giant bag of cultures, beliefs, and backgrounds that make a beautiful sound when they play together.

We’re Bright – the work might look effortless, but the thinking that shaped it is really smart. We’re constantly on the lookout for the real problem, the real opportunity, the thing that, if solved, will change things. We work hard to get intimate with the areas we are playing in because there’s no meaningful insight without intimacy.

We're in search of Brilliant – our formula for success is simple. Bring a diverse bunch of brilliantly talented, collaborative, interesting people together. Give them the tools that they need to do their jobs. Treat them right, pay them right, give them a stake in success, and watch the business fly.

What we’re looking for in you

  • Be You – bring yourself to work and to the work that you do.
  • Be Ambitious – bring a desire to excel and to win, a desire to push yourself and your teammates to create the very best work, and fight for the work you believe in.
  • Be Curious – dig deep and outright care more. Don't ask if it's good enough, ask if it's great enough.
  • Be Invested – in your clients’ success, sweat the small things and behave as partners, not providers.
  • Be Collaborative – we’re a group of people all on the same path, looking to do things better (and do better things), together.

If all of that sounds like the sort of company you’d like to keep, then carry on reading.

Overview

The Role

The Art Supervisor is a senior art director and emerging creative leader responsible for developing smart, strategically grounded ideas and bringing them to life through exceptional visual thinking and craft.

‍

You'll be an art director, conceptor, designer, presenter, collaborator, and increasingly, a mentor. You'll partner closely with writers, designers, strategists, account teams, medical partners, production teams, and clients to turn complicated healthcare challenges into ideas people can understand, feel, and remember.

‍

This is a highly hands-on creative role. You'll concept. You'll design. You'll art direct. You'll present. You'll obsess over the details. But you'll also begin looking beyond your own assignments—helping shape the visual identity of a brand, elevating the work of other creatives, and recognizing opportunities to make the work stronger.

Key Responsibilities

What You'll Do

Create great work

  • Develop original, strategically sound concepts across healthcare brands, audiences, and channels.
  • Translate strategy and complex scientific information into compelling visual ideas and experiences.
  • Partner closely with copywriters from the beginning of an assignment through final execution.
  • Create and art direct work across digital, social, video, print, CRM, websites, experiential, and emerging channels.
  • Think beyond individual tactics to visual systems and ideas that can become campaigns, platforms, and connected experiences.
  • Develop mood boards, visual territories, storyboards, layouts, prototypes, and other tools necessary to communicate and sell an idea.
  • Push beyond familiar healthcare visual conventions to find solutions that feel fresh, relevant, and distinctive.
  • Maintain exceptional standards of design, typography, composition, imagery, storytelling, and craft.

Know the brand

  • Develop a deep understanding of your assigned brands—the science, strategy, audience, competitive landscape, market dynamics, and creative opportunity.
  • Understand why we're creating something, not simply what needs to be designed.
  • Help establish and maintain visual identities, campaign systems, and creative standards.
  • Recognize when work is strategically right but visually expected—and help find a more powerful solution.
  • Bring proactive visual and conceptual ideas to your creative partners and broader team.
  • Stay curious about design, photography, film, culture, technology, AI, art, and what's happening outside healthcare advertising.

Own your work

  • Take increasing ownership of projects from brief through concept, design, production, and MLR.
  • Present creative work internally and to clients with clarity and confidence.
  • Articulate the thinking behind visual choices rather than relying on subjective preference.
  • Work collaboratively with strategy, account, medical, UX, development, production, and other disciplines to solve problems while protecting the creative idea.
  • Direct photographers, illustrators, animators, editors, production partners, and other creative specialists as appropriate.
  • Navigate medical, legal, and regulatory feedback intelligently, finding visual solutions that preserve the intent and impact of the work.
  • Manage multiple assignments and deadlines while maintaining creative quality.
  • Know when to solve something yourself—and when to pull in creative leadership.

Elevate the team

  • Review and provide thoughtful feedback on work from junior and mid-level art directors and designers.
  • Help creatives understand not only what could be improved, but why.
  • Share knowledge generously around concepting, art direction, design craft, visual storytelling, production, and emerging creative tools.
  • Create an environment where creative partners feel comfortable sharing unfinished ideas and exploring unconventional solutions.
  • Learn how to direct someone toward a better solution rather than simply redesigning the work yourself.
  • Raise the visual standard of the work around you.
  • Be someone other creatives want in the room.

Qualifications

What We're Looking For

  • 4+ years of professional art direction/design experience, with meaningful experience in pharmaceutical, healthcare, or life sciences advertising.
  • A portfolio demonstrating strong conceptual thinking, visual storytelling, and exceptional design craft.
  • Ability to translate complex strategic and scientific information into simple, compelling visual communications.
  • Experience developing branded and/or unbranded healthcare communications; HCP and patient/consumer experience is a plus.
  • Experience working across digital, social, video, print, CRM, websites, experiential, and emerging channels.
  • Working knowledge of pharmaceutical promotional requirements and the medical/legal/regulatory review process.
  • Strong command of typography, layout, composition, imagery, and visual systems.
  • Experience directing photography, illustration, video, animation, or other forms of content production.
  • Fluency with relevant creative tools and an active curiosity about AI and emerging creative technologies.
  • Experience presenting creative work internally and to clients.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with writers and cross-functional teams.
  • Experience mentoring or providing direction to other creatives is preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously.
